Did you know that Black bears can go without food for up to 7 months during hibernation?Did you know that the Polar bear is the worlds largest land predator? These are just a few examples of the interesting facts that the children will learn during this busy week that is all about bears!The students will learn about the different kinds of bears, the habitats in which they live, and the types of food they eat.
This week the students will learn about the different types of weather we experience during the winter months.They will learn about the different activities that can be done during the winter and the precautions that need to be taken against the weather when partaking in events and activities outside.
Arctic Animals are animals that live in extreme cold environments. Penguins, polar bears, seals, and reindeer are to name just a few of the animals that the children will be studying. The students will learn how the animals depend on each other for survival and also how they are able to live in such a cold environment.
During the week of the five senses the children will do many activities that will enable them to become aware of how each body part plays a role in each of their senses.We will be making slime for the children’s sense of touch.The children will also have the opportunity to try different types of food to test out their sense of taste.
